What is stroke?

The brain is one of the main parts of our body which need oxygen to circulate its work. Brain gets oxygen from blood. A stroke happen when the blood flow to the brain is cut off. When brain cells are don’t get oxygen they became damaged and developed the symptom of stroke. As the brain control the whole body the symptom of stroke can be wide ranges. Stroke can causes for drooping face, weakness in the arms and legs, difficulty speaking.

How stroke is occurs?

A stroke occurred when the blood flow within your brain is blocked. After just a few minutes the affected brain cells began to die. In one type of stroke is ischemic stroke. In artery in your brain is narrow or become completely blocked preventing normal blood flow. The blockage may be caused by blood clots also called a thrombus which forms in an unhealthy artery of the brain. The lack of blood flow causes the tissue the artery supplies to become ischemic. Another type of stroke is hemorrhagic stroke. It caused by a blood vessel that breaks and bleeds into the brain. It also cause for long standing blood pressure.


What are the causes for stroke?


Excessive weight:

Excessive weight is one of the reasons for stroke. Overweight can cause of thick blood and that’s because the blood flow become slow. When the brain cells don’t get sufficient blood it may occurs stroke.

High cholesterol level: 

High cholesterol level is another reason of stroke. High cholesterol level can reduce the blood circulation of our body which can cause stroke.

High blood pressure:

Excessive blood pressure can cause break the blood vessel and occurs an immediate stroke.

Smoking or drinking:

Regular smoking or drinking affects the regular activity of our body. It badly affects the blood circulation of our body which may one of the reasons of stroke.

Age 50 or above: 

The chance of stroke may increase when our age is going to 50 or above. But stroke can occur any age in our life.

Inactive lifestyle:

Many research shows that people which are attacked with stroke most of them lead an inactive lifestyle.

Family history of stroke:

Stroke can occur if anyone has family background of stroke.

Making difficulty to talk clearly:

Stroke can cause difficulty to speak clearly. Sometime stroke can cause drooping face. In many cases people who are attacked with stroke don’t understand the speech and can’t talk clearly.

If a person is having trouble speaking or thinking it could mean that blood is not going to the part of brain which is control language.

Loss balance of body:

A common sign of stroke is loss body balance. You may experience sudden shakiness. You may feel paralyzed in one side of your body or loss control of certain muscles of your body, such as one side of your face or your one arm. Physical therapy may help you return to your activities.

Memory loss:

Stroke can cause for some temporary memory loss. Many people who had stroke feel difficulty to thinking and making ideas. Stroke can cause the damage of memory part of brain

Trouble to seeing in both or one eyes:
 

If you had some stroke related damage to one of the part of the brain which manage your vision that may cause trouble to seeing in both or one eyes.

Prevention of stroke:

Strokes are sometimes inescapable, but you can take protections to help prevent strokes.

You can follow these stroke prevention tips like:

1. Be sure your blood pressure is under control.

2. Avoid smoking.

3. Remove stress to avoid stroke.

4. Don’t do secondhand smoke.

5. Take a balanced diet with variety of fruits and vegetables.

6. Try to manage a healthy weight.

7. Take a time for exercise regularly.

8. Consume minimum level of alcohol.

9. Don’t use banned medicines.

10. Control your blood sugar level.

11. Maintain your cholesterol level and fat consumption.

If anyone follows these tips he can easily decrease the percentage of having stroke. Everyone should concern with their habit and lead a healthy lifestyle to avoid the risk of having stroke.
